- The Arts & Culture Coordinator works within the Economic Development Division and is tasked with planning, implementation, and evaluation of highly visible and complex City-wide Public Art and Special Events policies and programs.
- The core responsibilities associated with the position include the construction coordination, management and promotion of Santa Rosa's public art collection, the coordination and management of large public cultural events and the permitting for all private events conducted within the City's public right-of way.
- Additionally, the position is responsible for budget preparation and monitoring, fee and revenue analysis, incorporation of economic development for best practices, grant writing, conducting research, preparing written and oral reports, administering contracts and agreements, managing projects, and acting as staff liaison to the Art in Public Places Committee.
- THE IDEAL CANDIDATE The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of the principles and practices of art administration and the filed of public art, arts program planning, funding, development and implementation, public art project management, grant writing, contracts, program management, public event planning and production, and relevant federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- Participate in the planning, coordination, and production of city-wide public and visitor events produced by the Economic Development DivisionProcess invoices, contracts, and agreements, including submitting payment requestsPerform related duties as assigned.
