- They serve as the primary project director for multiple on-going AHEC-based evaluations and educational research projects in all phases of development and implementation, including supervision of work-study students and medical school, graduate and undergraduate student interns or scholars; as well as research design, IRB applications and processing, data analysis, and dissemination of study results.
- They manage online activities for the program, including website development and social media presence; and support the Principal Investigator/AHEC Director, Advisory Committee, subcommittees (community, clinical, research, mentorship, scholarship), Primary Care Leadership Track Director, AHEC and track-related course directors, HRSA Research Associate, and Department Administrator.
- As well, they serve as an assistant to the AHEC PD/PI in managing faculty, resident and staff presentations, publications, grant reports, grant renewals, and related grant submissions; and also serve in a collaborative team support capacity for the department's administrative team of Course Coordinators, Program Coordinators, Research Assistants/Associates, Residency Coordinator, Residency Administrator, Practice Administrator and their respective divisions.
- Prepare study budgets with the help of PI, department administrator, research associate and faculty in accordance with federal, sponsor and institutional policies, procedures and guidelines
- Monitor AHEC budget and grant-related expenses, and reconcile expense reports with department administrator
