Support and assist Sr. Manager with day-to-day operations and special projects related to the Business Area and Business Unit financial reporting. Leads basic and advanced accounting functions including compilation of financial information, journal entry processing and approval, reconciliations, and the analysis of data. Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Reviews and approves standard journal entries, account reconciliations, revenue recognition determinations for contracts, and consolidation schedules. Provides financial information as required or requested to management. Serves as a day-to-day leader for staff and interns. Leverages various software tools such as spreadsheets and databases to review or create supporting documentation for schedules and journal entries. Works with multiple disciplines to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely conversion of investment to cash.
