  • This person will develop and/or use specialized data to facilitate research and planning activities that supports decision-making by administrators, faculty, and directors.
  • The Academic Support Services Coordinator will utilize Ivy Analytics to create and maintain reports for use and distribution.
  • The Academic Support Services Coordinator will assist the VCAA with college-wide Strategic Planning processes, Process Improvement initiatives, and campus progress toward the Strategic Plan. The Academic Support Services Coordinator will manage reports, insuring their integrity, timeliness, and appropriate presentation.
  • This person will analyze and communicate the results to VCAA/stakeholders to assist their understanding of insights gleaned from institutional data, primary and secondary research data.
  • The Academic Support Services Coordinator also maintains an efficient office routine; demonstrates computer literacy and competency; demonstrates competency in administrative procedures including records management; has command of English grammar, spelling, proofreading, and desktop publishing; and selects alternative methods of performing tasks and meeting priorities when such become necessary.
  • Major Responsibilities: Run reports from Ivy Analytics to extract data for analysis.
  • Preserve the integrity of College-wide and Region-wide data while reporting only the most accurate and reliable data.
  • Assist with data collection from other departments, preparation of survey and evaluation materials, and responding to ad hoc data requests.
  • Prepare environmental scans, using internal and external research and data sources, to help drive strategic decision-making, conducting on-line research to retrieve data, scan for environmental trend information, and to summarize findings.
  • Support the Cabinet by providing reports, coordinating common and consistent data research projects, analyzing patterns and trends, and facilitating awareness and training for effective and efficient regional use of data.
  • Prepare spreadsheets to organize information, create calculations, and prepare charts and graphs for presentations.
  • Provide direct data collection support and assistance to Vice Chancellors, administrators, faculty, and staff for program and unit review processes, accreditation studies, grant submissions, and community economic profiles.
  • Facilitate data analysis and use of findings of for biannually Data Assessment Reports.
  • Manage concurrent projects with a minimal amount of supervision.
  • Participates in major campus events such as, but not limited to, the commencement ceremony.
  • This is not to be construed as an exhaustive list.

  • All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, social science, information sciences, or other relevant field.
  • Two years of experience in strategic planning, research, evaluation, or a related field.
  • Proficiency and competency in office management procedures.'
  • Ability to determine priorities, organize work load, and to follow through to completion.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to compile and organize data in order to derive meaningful insights.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
  • A customer service orientation and an ability to establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships within a diverse and multicultural environment.
