- The goal of The Door’s Career and Education Services Department is to support young people in completing secondary education and successfully transitioning into post-secondary education and employment.
- The Instructor for the Advance and Earn is responsible for providing classroom and small group instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics for pre-HSE (4.0-8.9 grade levels) and HSE (9.0-12.0 grade levels) to help them make literacy and numeracy gains and move towards preparing for and passing the TASC exam.
- The Instructor will also work closely with the Advance and Earn Career Advancement Coaches and Work Readiness/Credential Instructor to integrate career readiness workshops, credential instruction, life skills, and other workshops into the academic cycle so that students are obtaining the obtain the knowledge and skills necessary for HSE attainment, employment, post-secondary education and ultimately self-sufficiency.
