  • Located 36 miles east of Atlanta on Emory’s original campus in Oxford Georgia, Oxford College of Emory University invites candidates to apply for the Academic Coordinator/Instructor position.
  • This is a 10-month position reporting to the Director of the Center for Healthful Living at Oxford College of Emory University.
  • The Academic Coordinator ensures the seamless coordination of the Center for Healthful Living's Physical Education curriculum, assists with the support of the instructors within the Center for Healthful Living, and teaches a reduced course load.
  • This is a faculty-equivalent position.
  • Responsiblities: The successful candidate for this position will plan , organize, and coordinate operational facets of the academic program within the Center for Healthful Living.
  • Applicants will provide knowledge and service through mentoring and leadership of all instructors in the Center for Healthful Living, including overseeing course observations and evaluations.
  • Candidates will coordinate Physical Education curriculum, including scheduling, diversity of course offerings, adjunct instructor onboarding and selection , measuring effectiveness, and evaluation.
  • The Academic Coordinator/Instructor will teach three Physical Education courses and serve as the academic liaison with Oxford College Athletics to ensure academic success of student-athletes.
  • Additional responsibilities include serving on the Academic Policies and Procedures Committee, Academic Oversight Committee, and other academic committees as needed.
  • This position will r epresent the Center for Healthful Living on committees within the Oxford campus and potentially at the Atlanta campus as they relate to curriculum development and enhancement.
