Obtain certification from the Department of Business and Professional Regulation in the trade in which that inspector shall conduct inspections.
Fundamentals of code enforcement (Level I) with Florida Association of Code Enforcement (FACE) or receipt of said certification within one year of employment.
Work as part of executive command staff of the Department and keep the deputy chief informed about the day to day operations of the Bureau.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Extensive knowledge of office terminology, procedures and equipment, and of business arithmetic and English.
Experience in and direct knowledge of volusia county water ways is required.
