Duties Of a Compliance Specialist
Prepares reports to present to upper management detailing laws and how the employees of the company are following those laws.
Be a point of contact and correspondence for field employees, regulatory agencies and any other parties involved in regulatory compliance
Ensure that most current forms and proper procedures are used for subsidy programs, LIHTC, and other funder/lender compliance
attention to detail is important because they need to ensure that all regulations are met when investigating issues or reviewing operational procedures.
Responds to calls regarding interpretation of policies and regulations, providing explanations of policies and what is permitted under same
The Compliance Specialist I will work with direct supervisor to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are followed.
Partnering with subject matter experts from other CPS offices and departments to identify additional compliance needs and the necessary solutions;
This will most frequently be done by conducting post entry reviews of imports, coordinating with brokers and ensure recordkeeping is maintained.
Ensures the technology services personnel have appropriate procedures manuals and those manuals are updated on a regular basis.
Completes set up of project and document files Maintains timetable and arranges for recordation at proper County recorders office.
Ensure that there are mechanisms for reporting identified compliance violations to Government authorities in accordance with applicable law.

This position will maintain current and extensive knowledge of the federal and state laws and regulations for which the bank is required to comply.

The Compliance Manager is also responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as providing guidance on compliance matters.
Maintain IS controls and policies to assure compliance with applicable regulatory and legal requirements as well as good business practices
Works with PS managers and staff of each unit to review and be in compliance with high/medium/low risk corporate and PS compliance requirements.
Ensures compliance with all applicable FFIEC IT and information security guidance and expectations.in addition to all relevant SOX compliance.
In addition, ensure that all associates have completed the training as required and follow up in the event that the training has not been completed.
